A Mogadishu man is in police custody after he was arrested for killing his mother and nephew.
Authorities arrested Mohamed Hassan Ali Dhiblawe in the Mogadishu neighborhood of Denile on suspicion of killing Murayo Muhamud Siad and Yusuf Muhamud Siad.
Murayo is Dhiblawe’s mother while Yusuf is his nephew.
Dhiblawe is accused of committing the horrific crime on the evening of June 24.
Police responded to distress calls only to find the suspect’s mother and nephew lying dead.
The reasons for the murder of the two remain unclear. However, authorities are prepared to investigate the matter after arresting the suspect.
