Mogadishu – The Director General of Mogadishu International Port, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur Americo, convened a meeting with the Regional CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group for Africa, Mohamed Eidha Al Menhali, in Abu Dhabi to deliberate on strategic initiatives for advancing Mogadishu Port and its growing influence in regional commerce.
The conversations centered on port modernization, infrastructure enhancement, and prospects for investment and collaborative technical solutions designed to elevate operational efficiency, boost productivity, and foster sustainable trade expansion.
Amb. Americo indicated that the gathering exemplifies continuous endeavors to elevate Mogadishu Port to meet global benchmarks.
He stressed the significance of converting the port into a contemporary logistics center positioned to advance Somalia’s economic progress and fortify commercial networks throughout the Horn of Africa.
Both parties acknowledged the significance of joint efforts in improving port services and promoting regional integration, emphasizing Mogadishu Port’s advantageous position along principal maritime trade pathways.
