Security officials in Mogadishu who worked hard to keep the city safe in 2023 were honored for their efforts.
Mohamed Ali Haga, the State Minister of Internal Security, was the chief guest in the ceremony held on Thursday in honor of the officers.
He was in the company of the highest-ranked security officials.
Haga and the senior officers commended those who were at the forefront of ensuring that the national capital remained safe despite the pockets of attacks.
Compared to the past years, 2023 was a relatively quiet one in terms of security.
