Mogadishu, Somalia – Aisha Adan Ugas Hirsi, a student at SOS School in Mogadishu, has emerged as the top candidate in Somalia’s 2025 National High School Examinations, securing an outstanding score of 91.99%.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Learning announced the results on Sunday, confirming Hirsi’s achievement as the highest score recorded this year. Her success was hailed as a symbol of resilience and determination amid Somalia’s challenging education environment.

Education Minister Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir congratulated Hirsi and all the successful candidates, emphasizing that Somalia’s youth are the country’s greatest resource.
“This remarkable performance by Aisha Adan Ugas Hirsi shows the untapped potential of Somali students. Despite the obstacles, they continue to prove their talent and commitment to learning,” the minister stated.
