Mogadishu will soon have a new flour mill factory.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre laid a foundation stone to herald the start of the construction of the factory.
The flour mill factory will be the first of its kind in Somalia in decades.
Several Somali businessmen pulled their resources together to ensure that the East African country now has its own flour mill factory.
The factory will cost roughly $37 million to construct.
Authorities and investors added that it would produce around 16,000 bags of flour per day.
Prime Minister Barre commended the investors for this brilliant idea. He also stressed the importance of investments in the manufacturing and agricultural sectors.
