Abdullahi M. Nor thanked gallant Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers who stopped the hours-long siege at his hotel yesterday.
Nor, who owns the Elite Hotel in Mogadishu that was attacked by militants on Sunday evening, wrote his message of gratitude on Twitter.
In his message, Nor said the security forces have always protected the country against enemies of peace who want to see Somalia burning.
Specifically, he thanked the government troops for coming to his rescue and that of other people who were at the hotel when the militants attacked.
So far, authorities have confirmed over a dozen deaths including the five militants who showed up at Lido Beach to launch the deadly attack.
