Mudolood Clan Conference Ends with a Call to FGS to Hold Timely Elections

The weeklong conference by Mudolood clan has ended with a call to the Federal Government of Somalia to hold timely elections.

Several leaders attended the conference, which took place in Somalia’s administrative capital of Mogadishu.

The conference, which kicked off on Saturday, attracted top leaders in the current and former administrations.

Over 1,000 delegates gathered at the conference. Some of them included former Presidents, mayors, diplomats, and senior military officers.

On Thursday, the Clan issued their declaration.

In it, they called upon the administration of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo to avoid delaying elections since that could push the country into a political crisis.

Further, the leaders appointed to address the media on the deliberations of the conference, asked non-AMISOM troops to stay away from the country during the electioneering time.
