President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni says that more than 800 Al-Shabaab militants attacked Ugandan forces in Somalia.
Ugandan People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) soldiers serving as part of African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) lost their lives in the Bulo Marer attack on Saturday.
The Ugandan President spoke on the issue on Friday.
He added that some of the Ugandan soldiers never responded to the attack as expected.
President Museveni admitted that the terrorists overran the ATMIS military base in the Lower Shabelle town.
