Muslim clerics have asked the Kenyan government to pull out its forces from Somalia.
The clerics made a plea to the government to “rethink its strategy” in Somalia by withdrawing KDF troops.
Sheikh Juma Ngao, the Chairman of Kenya Muslims National Advisory Council (KEMNAC), said Kenya must respect the Federal Government of Somalia.
Furthermore, he also asked Kenya to let Somalia to deal with its own issues without any outside interference.
Sheikh Ngao also said, “The existing tension between Kenya and Somalia affects our brothers living, studying, and working in the North-Eastern region.”
He reiterated that Kenya has to find ways of protecting its citizens. Sheikh Ngao accused Kenya of exposing its citizens to more danger.
