There is mutiny within Puntland military over unpaid salaries.
The regional troops closed a key highway when staging their mutiny on Tuesday this week.
They closed the highway that links Galkayo to Mogadishu.
The troops then refused to heed to calls to reopen the road.
They insisted that the road would only be reopened once the authorities clear their pending salaries.
