Recently, it held a workshop to discuss the issue with female aspirants.
NAGAAD is in the frontline in advocating for increased representation by women legislators in parliament and within political parties.
The organization expressed displeasure at the decision by the House of Representatives and the Upper House to reject the bill on women quota.
During the recent workshop, NAGAAD vowed to support female candidates fully.
It also encouraged more women not to shy off from running for local council and parliamentary elections.
Participants at the workshop also agreed to encourage traditional chiefs to support female and male candidates equally.
