A national conference on weapons has kicked off in Mogadishu.
The National Conference on Weapons and Ammunition Management Coordination kicked off in Somalia’s capital city on March 19.
It’s scheduled to run for two days.
Participants are mostly from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the country’s international partners.
According to organizers, the conference’s purpose is to highlight the Somali government’s unfaltering commitment to arms and ammunition control.
Apart from that, the conference will formulate plans that lead to the lifting of the arms embargo in Somalia.
