The National Consultative Council (NCC) has thrown its weight behind the ongoing counterterrorism operations against Al-Shabaab.
Participants at the latest NCC conference, which ended on Thursday after two days of discussions, said they support the war on terrorism in Somalia.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s administration launched the war last year when he assumed office.
Currently, the operations are in their second phase around much of the country.
NCC also agreed that the ongoing debt relief programme is great for the East African nation.
