A new political outfit has been launched in Hargeisa, the capital city of Somaliland.
Dr. Mohamed Abdi Gabose launched the Barwaaqo Party on Saturday, July 2 in Hargeisa to great fanfare.
Several top Somaliland politicians attended the launching ceremony.
Dr. Gabose, who is a veteran politician, addressed those present at the launch ceremony.
He advised them against embracing violence, anarchy, and intimidation as the preferred strategies for taking over the mantle of leadership in Somaliland.
Gabose urged the government and opposition politicians to use the constitution to resolve their differences.
He spoke out against the habit of some politicians using their parties as avenues for sowing discord.
