Authorities in Somaliland have announced the launch of new portal services for traders and tourists in the country.
On Wednesday, the country’s Ministry of Trade and Commerce launched the new service, which is to be known as Xogsiiye.
According to the commerce ministry, the new service is expected to offer more value to the local community.
The ministry launched this service on December 9 in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
Mohamud Hassan Sa’ad Sajin, the Minister of Trade Commerce, officiated the launching ceremony in the breakaway nation’s capital.
He was joined at the function by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and the Director General of the Ministry of Planning among other senior government officials.
Xogsiiye is an online business information service.
To benefit from this service, users would have to call the ministry on 9444 for information and requirements on registering any business of their choice.
