Mahdi M. Gulaid, the newly appointed Acting Prime Minister, held a meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank of Somalia (CBS) in Mogadishu today.
The Deputy Governor of CBS also attended the meeting.
Gulaid tweeted news of the meeting on Twitter and said that the two top CBS leaders briefed him on the fiscal reforms the institution is undertaking around the country.
He hailed the bank for instituting reforms that are crucial for growing the country’s financial sector.
Gulaid also commended the bank for the assistance and support it continues to extend to businesses around the country.
Further, the three leaders discussed the key role that CBS plays as Somalia’s primary fiscal agent.
