New Prime Minister Vows to Work Closely with Jubbaland President

Mohamed Hussein Roble, the new Prime Minister in the Federal Government of Somalia, has vowed to work closely with President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland.

Roble made the vow on Thursday when he hosted Madobe at his office in Mogadishu.

The two leaders discussed several issues during the meeting.

Mostly, they talked about the importance of working together and developing close relations with other regional leaders to deliver peaceful, free, and fair elections for all Somalis.

Roble met with Madobe a few hours after the House of Representatives voted to approve his appointment as the new premier.

Last week, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo appointed Roble the new premier to replace the ousted Hassan Ali Khaire.

Roble has pledged to form an “efficient government” that would deliver the services that Somalis need.
