Mohamed Hussein Roble, Somalia’s new Prime Minister, has vowed to form an efficient government.
He said that his government would focus on issues that Somalis hold close to their hearts.
Some of the issues that he promised to prioritize include security, elections, justice, and good governance.
On the issue of elections, opposition politicians have been urging President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo to appoint a Prime Minister immediately to lead the country in this exercise.
Farmaajo took close to 55 days to appoint a new Prime Minister after the House of Representatives voted Hassan Ali Khaire, the previous premier, out of office in late July.
On Wednesday, Roble urged the people of Somalia to support his government.
