The new spy chief spent Monday visiting the headquarters of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
Abdullahi Mohamed Sanbalolshe was at the NISA headquarters on a familiarization tour.
Sanbalolshe was appointed the new NISA chief last week. The Council of Cabinet already endorsed his appointment.
Sanbalolshe takes over from Mahad Salad.
The latter was at the NISA headquarters to receive his replacement. Sanbalolshe is expected to take over officially on Tuesday.
