New UAE-Funded Kidney Dialysis Center Launched in Hargeisa

A new kidney dialysis center funded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been launched in Hargeisa, Somaliland.

A delegation from Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in the UAE opened the center on January 23.

According to the financiers and Somaliland authorities, the new center is scheduled to serve up to 30 patients each day.

The UAE delegation said that the construction and opening of the center is part of the Emirati government’s humanitarian efforts towards the people of Somaliland.

Abdirahman Saylici, the Vice President of Somaliland, joined the UAE delegation in launching the kidney dialysis center on Saturday.

Saylici expressed his gratitude and that of the government to UAE for all humanitarian and developmental assistance extended to Somalia.
