The new United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia traveled to Hargeisa for a meeting with President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland.
Amb. Mike Nithavrianakis was in the Somaliland capital on Thursday.
He went to the Presidential Complex for the session with President Bihi and other senior officers from the Somaliland government.
They discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations between Somaliland and the UK.
The Ambassador and President Bihi spoke of the need for launching a number of projects in Somaliland with the backing of the UK government.
Some of the projects discussed include Berbera Corridor and Berbera Port.
President Bihi was with Abdinasir Omar Jama, who serves in his cabinet as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
