Somalia signed Phase 1 of the Horn of Africa Initiative’s Road Infrastructure Projects.
Dr. Elmi M. Nur, the Minister of Finance, signed the agreement on behalf of Somalia while at the African Development Bank (AfDB) Summit.
The minister signed the agreement on Wednesday in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Through the project, AfDB will finance the construction of a road connecting Somalia and Djibouti.
Dr. Nur expressed great delight at the opportunities that would be open for Somalia once this piece of infrastructure is up and running.
