Officials from the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) of Somalia underwent a 4-day training in Nairobi aimed at improving their document verification skills.
The training, which ended on Thursday, was the result of collaboration between officers from Somalia’s Immigration, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and Kenya’s Immigration Department.
The initiative was supported by Norwegian trainers, focusing on enhancing the capacity of officials to handle and verify important identification documents.
This effort likely aims to strengthen border security and identity management systems in Somalia and the region.
