Normalcy has returned to the Puntland commercial town of Bosaso after yesterday’s speech by President Said Abdullahi Deni.
On December 24, President Deni spoke to the people of Bosaso urging them to return home.
On Sunday, the residents who had fled the town started returning to their homes.
Moreover, the Port of Bosaso also reopened for business after heeding to President Deni’s call to do so.
There was a notable improvement in maritime traffic too.
Bosaso has been the scene of deadly clashes for the last three days.
Over 20 people lost their lives to the clashes while dozens more suffered injuries for which they are receiving treatment.
