Norway Contributes $3 Million to Help Rural Communities Affected by Drought in Somalia

Norway contributed $3 million to help rural communities affected by drought in Somalia.

The Nordic nation donated the funds through the Special Funds for Emergency and Rehabilitation (SFERA), which is part of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The funds would help provide communities in these regions with an emergency livelihood.

Essentially, the funds provide the affected communities with the cushion needed to withstand the harsh realities wrought by the ongoing drought.

The money would go a long way to supporting over 80,000 people in rural communities.
