The National Union of Somalia Journalists (NUSOJ) has organized media training with Al Jazeera Media Institute (AJMI) for TV reporters working in Mogadishu.
The joint training program lasted five days and covered several topics designed to make TV reporters more effective and professional in their work.
The training lasted from 8-12 February 2020. It targeted young TV reporters.
NUSOJ hopes that the training will equip young journalists to understand their roles, jobs, and responsibilities in an ever-changing field.
Additionally, the trainers hope to teach young reporters the foundations and principles of preparing TV reports.
It also aims to raise a generation of reporters who are capable of producing TV reports straight from the field.
