Omar Faruk Osman, the Secretary General of National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) held a meeting with Somalia’s acting Prime Minister Mahdi M. Gulaid.
The two leaders discussed several issues that Somalis hold dear to their hearts.
Reports indicate that Osman raised the issue of media freedom with the acting premier. He also discussed labor-related issues with Prime Minister Gulaid.
Furthermore, the two leaders talked about the need for supporting the campaign against gender-based violence through progressive legislation.
The meeting took place on Thursday at the Prime Minister’s office in Mogadishu.
