The humanitarian access snapshot for Somalia from July to September has been published by a leading United Nations agency.
The report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) highlights key challenges and trends.
First, it shows that 57 incidents were reported, reflecting an 18.6% decrease compared to the second quarter of 2024.
Secondly, the main constraints faced by humanitarian actors include interference, violence, restrictions, and ongoing hostilities.
Tragically, three aid workers were killed during this period, emphasizing the dangerous environment for those providing critical assistance.
These constraints continue to hinder effective humanitarian operations in vulnerable areas.
