The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that Somalia and other neighboring nations will experience intense rains between March and May.
OCHA predicted this on Monday.
As per the OCHA prediction, other countries that are likely to experience intense rains include Kenya and South Sudan.
The organization mentioned that the rains would be great for the region’s food security.
Nevertheless, it urged authorities and residents of the region to watch out for the risk of floods, which could impact communities and livelihoods.
