OCHA Somalia in Dolow to Discuss Relief Services with Local Administration

Officers from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) visited Dolow on December 10.

The officers used the occasion to discuss several issues with residents, local administration, and humanitarian groups.

Among the issues discussed was the raft of relief services the region needs.

OCHA officers also talked about relief challenges that the residents, local administration, and humanitarian agencies are experiencing.

This year has been one of the most challenging for humanitarian agencies in Somalia.

The Horn of Africa nation has grappled with the triple challenges of desert locust invasion, the COVID-19 pandemic, and floods.

Cindy Isaac, OCHA Somalia’s Deputy Chief of Staff, led the delegation of humanitarian personnel from the organization during the tour.
