One person was killed when flash floods hit a town in the regional state of Puntland on Saturday night.
Sources revealed that several houses were flooded in the incident. Cars were submerged and damaged in the flash floods too.
The major flash floods were reported in Qardho town, Puntland.
The region, as has been the case elsewhere around the country, has been experiencing drought after rains failed for the fourth consecutive season.
However, the rains pounded the region and other parts of the country on Friday and Saturday.
