The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has only authorized 10 laboratories to conduct COVID-19 testing in the country.
Somalia’s Ministry of Health published the details of the 10 laboratories on March 30.
It published the laboratories’ contact information.
The authorized laboratories include Hedmark, Medipark, MHCS, On Air LLC, Nova Diagnostics and Research, Somali Sudanese, TTC, and UNSON Level 1+ Hospital.
Others include Redsea Hospital as well as T&A Trading PLC.
The health ministry is fully responsible for authorizing COVID-19 PCR Testing Services.
It also issues certificates to private laboratories that allow them to offer these services to members of the public.
