A consultative meeting between 14 opposition leaders ended in Mogadishu today after five days of intense deliberations.
The meeting kicked off last week on Saturday.
It brought together several opposition leaders who have expressed intentions to challenge President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo in February 2021 presidential elections.
Some of the leaders attending the consultative meeting at Jazeera Hotel include immediate former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
Others are ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, ex-President Hassan Ahmed, and Wadajir Party leaders Abdirahman Abdishakur.
After days of consultations, the leaders agreed to call for the immediate removal of Fahad Yasin, the Director of National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) from office.
The presidential aspirants also demanded the removal of NISA agents from the Federal Electoral Commissions (FECs) and Dispute Resolution Commissions.
