Representatives of two of Somalia’s opposition parties held a consultative meeting with President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoorqoor of Galmudug state on September 11.
Top leadership of the two parties, Wadajir Party and the Forum for the National Parties (FNP) attended the Friday meeting.
The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the current political situation in the East African nation.
Furthermore, the leaders, who included Wadajir’s Abdirahman Abdishakur as well as FNP’s Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, were upbeat about the meeting.
Sheikh Ahmed and Sheikh Mohamud are former presidents of Somalia.
Their meeting took place in Mogadishu.
Qoorqoor and other Federal Member States (FMS) leaders have been in the capital since last week to meet President Mohamed Farmaajo of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
The leaders are currently discussing elections related issues.
