The outgoing United Nations Deputy Ambassador Anita Kiki Gbeho visited Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre at the latter’s office in Mogadishu.
Gbeho, who is the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the UN, visited the Prime Minister as part of her winding down tour.
Prime Minister Barre commended Amb. Gbeho for a sterling job that she performed during her tenure in Somalia.
He commended Gbeho’s “remarkable leadership” in helping nurture the state-building process in the nation.
On her part, Deputy SRSG Gbeho expressed gratitude to the government and the people of Somalia for making her work much easier.
She also thanked them for the warm hospitality extended to her and the entire UN team in Somalia.
