Parliament Endorses Prime Minister Roble’s Newly Appointed Cabinet

Somalia’s House of Representatives approved the new cabinet appointed by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.

Parliament met on Saturday, October 24 to endorse the cabinet.

All the 188 Members of Parliament (MPs) in the House of Representatives were at the session specifically held to approve the cabinet.

The MPs unanimously voted to approve the cabinet, as there were no rejections or abstentions.

On Monday, October 19, Roble announced his new cabinet that features ministers from the previous administration. He retained Mahdi M. Gulaid as his Deputy Prime Minister.

Early this week, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo had requested the Lower House to approve Roble’s cabinet quickly to allow them to start working immediately.
