Mogadishu, Somalia – Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has appointed veteran politician Saalim Aliyow Ibrow as Somalia’s new Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, marking a significant reshuffle within his cabinet. Ibrow takes over from Yusuf Mohamed Adan, who has led the ministry since October 21, 2024.
The appointment, announced in Mogadishu on Monday, brings one of Somalia’s most seasoned public officials back into the heart of government.
