A police officer was shot and killed in Mogadishu on Thursday, April 29.
The officer, who was identified as Osman Salad, was distributing Iftar food to the needy people of Taleh neighborhood when he was shot.
Salad had also been a peace activist.
His shooting and subsequent death have shocked local residents who knew him well.
The reasons for his shooting and death remain unknown.
