Reports from Mogadishu indicate that a police officer was killed in a roadside explosion while three other people suffered injuries.
The officer died when driving a car that belongs to General Ali Gaab, who was not in the vehicle when the incident occurred.
Later, the officer’s colleagues arrived at the scene and closed it off while launching investigations to learn more.
At the time of going to the press, security authorities in the region had not issued further details on the incident.
Further, no group has come out to claim responsibility for the incident, which is the latest in a series of attacks against government officers in the country.
