President Bihi Arrives in Djibouti to a Warm Reception

Somaliland’s President Musa Bihi Abdi jetted out to Djibouti today on a tour that would include meeting his host and other regional leaders.

The plane carrying President Bihi and his delegation touched down at the Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport earlier on Sunday.

Bihi was accorded a red carpet welcome by his hosts.

Djiboutian officials who were on hand to receive him included the Prime Minister Abdulkadir Kamil Mohamed and Mohamud Ali Yusuf, who is Djibouti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Mohamed Muse Awale, the Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Livestock was part of the delegation that welcomed the Somaliland president.

Furthermore, Abdifatah Said Ahmed, who is the Head of Somaliland Liaison Office to Djibouti, was at the airport to receive Bihi.

During his tour, Bihi is expected to meet with President Mohamed Abdilahi Farmaajo of Somalia and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia.

The meeting between the three leaders is part of the process that PM Abiy has been pushing to resume the dialogue between Somalia and Somaliland.
