President Muse Bihi Abdi has registered to participate in Kulmiye Party’s upcoming Fourth Grand Convention.
Kulmiye, the ruling party in Somaliland, is scheduled to hold its grand convention in early October.
Consequently, the entire leadership of the party is expected to attend and vie for various seats.
Bihi, as the party leader, is expected to be confirmed as its presidential candidate once again. Thus far, he appears to have no challengers for that seat.
Several cabinet ministers, who are members of the ruling party, accompanied Bihi to register for the convention.
Preparations for the convention are proceeding well with delegates from all provinces and districts in Somaliland registering to avoid being locked out.
Four party positions are up for grabs.
