President Muse Bihi Abdi has sacked dozens of senior Somaliland government officials.
Some of those sacked on Monday, June 27 occupied senior positions in various government ministries.
One of those was Abdirahman Ali Abdi, who had been working as the Deputy Minister of Information.
Ahmed Hassan Nur, the Deputy Minister of National Planning, has also received the sack.
Others who are no longer in government service after getting the sack include Suleiman Ali Awad Bukhari and Ms. Sahra Adan Yusuf.
Bukhari was the Chairman of the Somaliland National Insurance Agency while Ms. Yusuf had been the Deputy Chairwoman of the Somaliland National Insurance Agency.
Apart from them, Abdiwasac Mohamed Yusuf and Ahmed Abokor Mohamed are no longer in government service after President Bihi sent them packing too.
Abdiwasac was the Assistant Chairman of the Quality Control Commission.
Abokor had been the Director-General in the Ministry of Transport.
