President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud chaired a meeting that brought together former Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Speakers.
The Somali President chaired the meeting in Mogadishu on Wednesday.
Former leaders from different parts of the country gathered in the nation’s capital for the National Consultative Council (NCC).
Ex-President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed joined ex-Prime Ministers Mohamed Roble, Ali Hassan Khaire, Abdiweli Ali Gaas, Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke, and Ali Mohamed Geed at the historic meeting.
The list of former parliamentary speakers who attended the meeting featured Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan, Professor Osman Jawaari, and Mohamed Abdirahman Mursal.
Various individuals who served as ministers in former administrations were present too.
Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, the immediate former President, was conspicuously absent.
