President Said Abdullahi Deni of Somalia’s semiautonomous region of Puntland held a consultative meeting with leaders of two of the country’s opposition leaders.
Deni’s meeting with the leaders of Forum for National Parties and Wadajir Party took place on Wednesday September 2.
The meeting took place ahead of the planned talks between Deni, President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland and President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of the federal government.
Deni discussed the prevailing situation in the country with the leadership of FNP and Wadajir Party.
The leaders paid special attention on the upcoming polls in the country.
Furthermore, they also discussed about the political transition expected to take place as the country holds polls later in the year and in early 2021.
