President Said Abdullahi Deni has launched a newly constructed road in Somalia’s semiautonomous region of Puntland.
The road was a joint project between the Puntland administration and USAID Somalia.
Deni’s administration and USAID Somalia provided the resources and labor needed to pave the 1.6km road.
The President said the road’s construction and modernizing is critical for the development of the region.
He said that the road, which is in Galdogob, is crucial for providing the accessibility and mobility needed by individuals and organizations in Puntland.
President Deni also cited the economic and social benefits that roads provide in Puntland.
