President Said Abdullahi Deni opened the 46th session of Puntland Parliament on Sunday in the state capital of Garowe.
Deni addressed lawmakers and provided an update of his government’s performance.
Additionally, he took the opportunity to blast the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) over multiple failures to resolve issues concerning the upcoming elections.
President Deni said it was wrong for the entire country to hurl towards elections in an environment of uncertainty regarding rules, election dates, and the system to be used.
Furthermore, he reminded the people of Puntland that his government would not agree to the outcomes of the talks between Mogadishu and Somaliland, which is going on in Djibouti.
Deni also mentioned that his government is ready to meet with President Mohamed Farmaajo to discuss development issues regarding Somalia but Mogadishu has refused to do that.
