President Said Abdullahi Deni has said that Puntland would continue to work towards strengthening the unity of Somalia.
Deni said this when he returned to Garowe after spending three months away negotiating the electoral agreement with other regional leaders and Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
He said that the months spent negotiating the electoral model, which started in I, II, and III Dhusamareb Talks before concluding in September in Mogadishu were worth the effort.
Deni arrived safely at the Garowe Airport where top regional government officials from his administration were on hand to welcome him back.
He reassured the rest of the country that Puntland understands its role in enabling Somalis to live as one people.
Furthermore, President Deni expressed gratitude for the show of unity exhibited by other Federal Member States (FMS) leaders and representatives from FGS and Banadir Region.
