President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of Somalia is expected in Dhusamareb for the ongoing talks with the regional leaders.
In the past week, all the five regional leaders have been meeting in the administrative capital of Galmudug State to discuss various issues including the upcoming elections in Somalia.
Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire already joined the leaders earlier this week.
Reports now indicate that President Farmaajo is also scheduled to attend the talks aimed at resolving issues surrounding the upcoming polls.
At the onset of their meeting, the regional leaders agreed with National Independent Electoral Commission (NIEC) on the country’s unpreparedness for the polls.
Regional leaders at the meeting are President Ahmed Madobe, President Said Deni, President Mohamed Abdi Ware, President Ahmed Kariye, and President Abdulaziz Lafta-Gareen.
An advance delegation comprising various officials from the Office of the President already left Mogadishu for Dhusamareb.
