President Ali Gudlawe Hussein hosted a dinner for the newly elected senators from HirShabelle.
The regional state was the last to hold elections for its Upper House seats. It concluded the elections this past weekend.
On September 20, President Gudlawe invited all the new Senators to the HIrShabelle Presidential Palace for the dinner.
During the event, he congratulated the new lawmakers.
Furthermore, President Gudlawe also encouraged them to start working for the voters they now represent. He urged them to pursue the unity of all the people of Somalia too.
