President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has promised to consult former Somalia presidents.
The country’s 10th President was speaking during his inauguration ceremony in Mogadishu on Thursday, June 9.
Two of the former Presidents attended the inauguration ceremony.
They were ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
President Mohamud won the May 15 presidential elections in Mogadishu after beating immediate former President Farmaajo.
He promised consultations with the former presidents while delivering his speech at the inauguration.
Several leaders from the region attended the inauguration.
They included President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti, and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia.
